Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to find out about and join Wick SMP. This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML with landmarks, a logical heading order and a "Skip to main content" link.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline. The mobile menu and FAQ are keyboard operable, and Escape closes the menu.
- Text and interface colours are designed to meet AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for controls) on our dark background.
- Buttons and links have a target size of at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels.
- Meaningful images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Copying the server address and the live server status are announced to screen readers.
- The layout reflows down to a 320 px wide screen without horizontal scrolling and supports text zoom to 200%.
- No auto-playing media and no flashing content. Animation and smooth scrolling are turned off when your system asks for reduced motion.
- Works with Windows forced-colours (high contrast) mode.
Known limitations
- The decorative pixel-art fonts (Pixelify Sans, Silkscreen) are harder to read for some people; body text uses a standard sans-serif.
- The game itself, Minecraft: Java Edition, has its own accessibility options that we do not control. Our Discord and Store are third-party services with their own accessibility support.
