Factories guide
Factories turn materials into other materials. Deliver the required resources, wait for the timer, and collect your products. Open the menu in game with /factories.

How it works
Unlock a factory
The Wood factory is free and unlocked for everyone. Every other factory is bought once with in-game money from the factory menu.
Start a production
Choose a tier and click Start. The required resources and fuel are taken from your inventory when you click, so have everything on you first.
Wait for the timer
Productions run on a real-time timer, from 10 minutes for the simplest ones to 60 minutes for the most advanced.
Collect your products
When the timer ends, the production shows as completed. Click it to claim the products, which go straight into your inventory.
Production limit
You can have a limited number of productions running at once. Each tier of each factory counts as its own production. Every player starts with a limit of 3, and the Mechanics research raises it.

Tiers
Every factory has three production tiers. Higher tiers produce more per run but need more resources and take longer. Tier I is included with the factory. Tier II and Tier III are bought separately, and you must complete the Accounting I research (tier 2) and Accounting II research (tier 3) first.
Fuel levels
Each factory runs on a fuel, which is one of the resources you deliver. Better fuels come from other factories, so the factories form a chain.

Research
Research unlocks advanced factories, higher tiers and a bigger production limit. Each subject costs research points and takes real time to finish. You can research one subject at a time, and you need the Research License first. Some subjects need earlier research completed, and the menu will tell you what you are missing.

Research points and rewards
You earn research points by completing productions. Claim each reward in the Factories Rewards menu once you reach the milestone. All milestones together give 113 research points.

Tip
Start a long production before you log off. The timer keeps running, and you can claim the products when you return. Keep a stock of coal on hand, since almost every factory uses it as fuel or an ingredient.
